Welcome to my blog! You can find me here writing weekly about water and sanitation in Kibera, Nairobi, Kenya - the largest urban slum in Africa. I hope you enjoy reading as I explore the effects of water and sanitation on drinking water, food, gender, hygiene, and the environment. Blog by Victoria Meyer.
About Me
I'm an exchange student from America studying here at UCL for the term. My home school is the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. I study Urban Studies and Fine Arts with a particular interest in social change in lower income communities. This class is my first introduction to water in Africa, for which I have high expectations. I hope through this blog and lessons in class I will gain a better understanding of the social, political, and economic issues that coincide with water in Africa and form my own critical view of potential opportunities for change in the future. I hope you enjoy reading and please feel free to comment.
